Joyagoo packaging & repacking

Packaging is a quiet lever: too little and fragile finds arrive damaged; too much and you pay for air. Here's how to get the balance right.

Standard vs reinforced packing

Agents apply basic protective packing by default and offer paid reinforced or fragile packing for delicate items. For glassware, electronics or anything breakable, the small add-on is usually worth it — a damaged parcel costs far more than the packing fee.

Repacking to save weight

Removing bulky original boxes and consolidating filler reduces volumetric weight (see our volumetric-weight guide). Ask for repacking when items are sturdy and box presentation doesn't matter to you.

When to keep the original box

Keep original packaging when it protects a fragile item, or when the item's condition/resale value depends on the box. It's a judgement call between shipping cost and keeping the item pristine.
